Dr. Samudaya Nanayakkara is a Lecturer at Western Sydney University and an active researcher in digitalisation in the built environment. He completed his PhD in Engineering at Western Sydney University and holds an MSc in Computer Science and a BSc Engineering (Honours) from the University of Moratuwa, where he received a Gold Medal, University Colours and Dean’s List recognition. He also completed a Bachelor of Information Technology from the University of Colombo. Dr. Nanayakkara has contributed to more than 30 major digitalisation projects and has supported several global open-source software initiatives. He has published over 50 manuscripts in reputed journals, peer-reviewed conference papers and book chapters, and has delivered more than 30 keynote, conference and public presentations. He continues to advance research and innovation in digital technologies that shape the future of the built environment.
