Dr. R. M. M. Pradeep is Senior Lecturer (Grade I) at the Faculty of Computing, General Sir John Kotelawala Defence University, and Director of the Centre for Disaster Management Research (CDMR), KDU, leading interdisciplinary work on technology for disaster risk reduction. His research focuses on software systems that automate complex hydrological and geospatial processes for urban flood and watershed management while remaining usable for decision makers in practice. He developed the Predictive-cum-Adaptive PcT.UcD methodology, a hybrid process-centric and user-centric approach for complex decision-support tools, originally validated through HydroGIS applications. His work on HydroGIS tools, software frameworks, and stakeholder-aware land information systems has advanced practical, automation-driven solutions for disaster and crisis management technologies.
